Mrs. Brett Byrd is honored to serve as the Assistant Superintendent of Curriculum and Director of Federal Programs for the Pearl River County School District. She is a proud graduate of The University of Southern Mississippi obtaining a Bachelor's degree in business with an accounting emphasis. She followed that with additional education from William Carey University acquiring a Masters and Specialist Degree in Secondary Education and Educational Leadership, respectively.
Mrs. Byrd began her educational career teaching mathematics at the elementary school level before moving to the high school setting where she taught math and special education. She then served as an assistant principal and most recently as a secondary principal.
Mrs. Byrd is excited to join the Pearl River County School District where every day is a great day to be a Blue Devil!
Steven Engle has 30 years dedicated to education, he brings a diverse background that includes roles as a classroom teacher, coach, elementary and high school principal, and athletic director. His comprehensive experience is asset to our district, overseeing all operations for PRC. He went to Pearl River Community College for an associates degree, completed his Bachelor of Science degree from Louisiana State University and obtained his Master of Education from the University of Southern Mississippi.
