Assistant Superintendent, Melissa Holston
Missy Holston serves as the Assistant Superintendent of the Pearl River County School District. Ms. Holston has a Bachelor's of Science degree and a Master's Degree in Education from the University of Southern Mississippi. She has been a public educator for 24 years and has spent her entire career working with the Pearl River County School District as a teacher, assistant principal, principal, and special education director.
Ms. Holston is the Director of Federal Programs for Title I, II, IV, and VI Programs for the district. She also serves as the District Test Coordinator and manages all statewide testing. In addition, Ms. Holston is the Title X District Homeless Liaison, Title IX Coordinator, and English Language Learners Coordinator.
Ms. Holston is a graduate of Pearl River Central High School and is dedicated to giving back to the school and community that provided her with the foundation and passion she holds for education. She lives in Carriere with her husband, Brent, and their three children, Hunter, Conner, and Addyson. As a former graduate of Pearl River Central and the school where her children receive their education, Ms. Holston is passionate about ensuring all students receive the quality education they will need in order to be productive citizens in our community.
